Motul opens up new oil opportunities

Innovation has always been the lifeblood of Motul and the company’s latest product additions offer the aftermarket some exciting new business opportunities.

Motul’s recently-launched NGEN product range, takes performance with sustainability to an entirely new level. The products use either high-quality regenerated raw materials in their formulation, or oils from renewable biological sources. This not only reduces production-related CO2 emissions, but also saves fossil raw materials and enables more sustainable production.

MOTUL NGEN HYBRID is a next generation oil for hybrid cars. It contains up to 25% oil from renewable raw materials and supports better fuel efficiency as well as improved response and starting behaviour. The special formula with various additives and ester core technology protects the engine against deposits and provides reliable lubrication even at the low engine temperatures typical of hybrid vehicles. MOTUL NGEN HYBRID meets the latest API SP and ILSAG GF-6 standards as well as JASO GLV-1.

In the motorbike sector, MOTUL's NGEN 5 is a high-performance, reliable engine oil for everyday use, offering optimised starting and shifting behaviour, as well as improved fuel efficiency, while NGEN7 is the first choice for all motorcyclists for the demands of sporty driving behaviour.

Motul also continuously monitors existing trends and is conscious not only of being able to produce ranges that break completely new ground, but also to find gaps trends are likely to create. For example, The Motul 8100 range was originally devised to cover a wide spectrum of cars, with full OEM approval but with a minimum number of references. Enhancing this flexibility, Motul has recently released the 8100 Power series of lubricants.

8100 POWER builds on Motul’s racing heritage and is aimed at top-end performance and tuned engines. It is equally at home on the racetrack as it is on the road. It offers a cost-effective solution to those who want a really high-quality ester-based, fully synthetic lubricant, that is able to cope comfortably with all types of engine demands, offering exceptional engine response and LSPI Protection.

Motul 8100 POWER is currently available in 0W20, 5W30, 5W40, 5W50 grades in both 1 litre and 5 litre packs and, of course, Motul has a full dedicated technical back-up service available.

The whole 8100 Range – including 8100 POWER – as well as MOTUL’s NGEN range   are now available across Ireland. Motul has dedicated technical back-up and the full range of Motul Lubricants and related products is available in Ireland through Alpha Lubricants.
