Naas Gearbox Centre  has been named Independent Operation of the Year  Paul Smith Head of Castrol Ireland; Glen Harmon, Technical Director; Wayne Harmon, Managing Director; Paul Linders, President of SIMI and Alan Nolan CEO SIMI.

Independent vehicle transmission engineering and repair specialist, Naas Gearbox Centre in County Kildare, has been named ‘Independent Operation of the Year’. Judges praised Naas Gearbox Centre, recognising, “Its achievements in the highly-specialised industry of transmission technology, combined with a sustained commitment to innovation and quality service.”


The Awards in partnership with Castrol celebrate best practice in the Irish motor industry, acknowledge the work and successful achievements of SIMI members during these tough economic times. Celebrating everything that is good about the automotive trade, the awards are open to the widest possible cross-section of the Irish motor industry.

All businesses from across the motor industry are invited to enter the awards, which aim to celebrate the industry leaders and recognise the amazing achievements made by these businesses over the last 12 months.
