Nationwide Glassmatix estimating service

Sometimes even the most competent body repairer can struggle to produce accurate, comprehensive and prompt estimates suitable for insurance submission, so a new service from Kennedy Assessors is sure to be of interest.

For as little as €50 + VAT, Paul Kennedy, a fully qualified vehicle damage assessor, with more than eight years’ experience, can produce a full Glassmatix estimate on behalf of any body repairer on their own headed estimate stationery.

Paul says since he started the service in March the uptake has grown every month as bodyshops see the benefits of his comprehensive professional estimates. He comments, "I can prepare the estimate from photos, or talking the damage through with the repairer. It can save a huge amount of time for the repairer as parts are fully priced so there is no ringing around. It is also a great way for a bodyshop to compete for more business.”

Working previously as an insurance engineer, Paul would be inspecting thousands of cars a year and so has a vast knowledge of the vehicle damage and repair processes. He also has a detailed understanding of the Glassmatix system which he says allows him to produce estimates that maximise bodyshop revenue. He comments, "Smaller repairers cannot justify the cost of a Glassmatix system, while many users fail to utilise the full scope of the system. I know from past experience that many repairers are significantly underestimating job costs, but a properly prepared Glassmatix estimate can solve this problem and is more likely to get insurance approval.”

Paul says that he can also offer repairers advice and help to reduce write-offs. Estimates can generally be produced within the hour once information is available and can be emailed or faxed to the repairer.
