Laser Tools has introduced a new aluminium pen light that integrates a 2W COB lamp with a 2W LED torch, powered by a rechargeable 750mAh lithium-ion battery. 

The new light, part number 8597, is encased in a tough silver-anodized body and also features a magnetic base and a pocket clip for convenient placement and easy portability. The COB lamp gives a good spread of light while the LED offers a more direct torch beam.

This compact pen light has dimensions of 17mm x 156mm x 13mm and is easily rechargeable via the supplied USB cable. It charges in 2.5 to 3 hours and this gives you a working time of 2 to 4 hours. There are three switch positions: 50% COB on, 100% COB on, then off. A long press activates the LED. Both light sources are bright: COB 80 - 170 lumens, LED 150 lumens.
