Borg & Beck has produced a comprehensive new catalogue for its clutch programme which will shortly be available to First Line customers.
The new edition, designated 21e, is the fourth version of the popular publication and contains components such as hydraulics and concentric slave cylinders (CSC’s) as well as traditional 2-in-1 and 3-in1 kits. It also covers the widest range of 3-in-1 CSC and solid flywheel and dual mass flywheel (DMF) replacement kit ranges. The publication now contains more than 530 new-to-range additions and provides almost 2,000 part number references, for new and popular vehicle models.
First Line has incorporated several new design characteristics to ensure that the extensively revised catalogue is even easier to use. The new format includes engine and model code details, as well as technical data, which will together provide trouble-free parts identification and selection.
Much of the technical data contained within the catalogue is gained through the intensive testing and product analysis that is undertaken at the Borg & Beck clutch technical centre based at First Line’s central distribution centre in Banbury. This facility also allows First Line to examine products that might be the subject of a warranty claim to judge whether additional fitting instructions are needed to ensure the correct installation procedure is followed. This helps both factors and workshops improve the quality of the service they can offer.
In addition to the 600 page printed catalogue plus cross reference data pages, all Borg & Beck clutch systems are also available electronically through the First Line/Borg & Beck WebCat electronic cataloguing system and via TecDoc CATALOG, for which Borg & Beck is an official data supplier.
