Bosch has introduced new universal sensors for tyre pressure monitoring systems, as well as a new programming tool.

The new Bosch universal sensors for tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) measure the air pressure of the vehicle's tyres in real time and transmit it directly to the control unit by wi-fi. Thanks to the universal programmability of the QUICK FIT sensors vehicle coverage of over 90% is achieved with just four part numbers. To complement the sensors, the Bosch TPA 300 programming tool was developed for a simple and safe vehicle-specific configuration.

Since 2014, all new vehicles within the EU must be equipped with a tyre pressure monitoring system. This helps to reduce danger due to unnoticed pressure loss, avoid increased fuel consumption and tyre wear and avoid potential damage caused by incorrect tyre pressures.

The Bosch TPA 300 programming tool has been specially developed for configuring TPMS sensors. The tool supports most universal sensors available in the market. Thanks to this feature more than 90% of the OE sensors can be replaced. It also offers simple and quick operation of the programming tool to allow fast and easy vehicle identification, sensor programming and vehicle relearning procedures. The TPMS data is shown on the 2.8” display.

Regular updates of functions, vehicles and sensor coverage keep workshops in the position to serve their customers best. Three years software updates are included.

The sensors and TPMS are available from Bosch stockists.
