Strongline Autoparts has been appointed as distributor of the Juratek range of Braking products. The new appointment coincides with two major new improvements to the range of pads and discs which are available for all cars and light commercial vehicles.

The first new Juratek innovation is an initial performance strip that has been added to all new brake pads. Generally when brake pads are first fitted the pads performance is low until the pads have been run in. This gives rise to a ‘heavy’ feeling brake pad and it is usually advisable to warn the customer of this as a precaution, something that can often cause concern.

Juratek have overcome this problem with a new green stripe on the pads that improves the performance of the brakes during the initial running-in period. The stripe has been added to the pad surface to provide more friction. This means that the new Juratek pads offer better braking performance right from the very first stop in comparison with the same grade of pad material without the Juratek green stripe.

Along with this innovative improvement to Juratek brake pads, an anti-corrosion paint has been applied to the non-braking surface of Juratek brake discs. This has a double benefit. Firstly, it looks good and provides cosmetic protection. As many modern cars are fitted with alloy wheels, a rusty brake disc can be quite unsightly. The new coating, which can be seen through the alloy wheels, remains a much more appealing silver colour giving an improved overall appearance. Secondly the anti-corrosion paint provides vent protection. The silver coating is applied to the edge of the brake discs and inside the vent gap. This prevents any corrosion from weakening the internal structure of the brake disc and means a longer service life.

Juratek’s range of brake pads is one of the largest in Europe and manufactured to strict quality standards and approved to ECE R90 (Regulation 90). All pads and discs are designed to meet OE specifications, are fully quality tested and come stamped with full Juratek brand identification, product number and batch number.
