Visually the VW Golf has gone through five major incarnations but has always stayed pretty true to the same original formula. So as you might expect the Golf Mark VI, which goes on sale in January, has not deviated too far from the winning formula used on the Mark V. First images of the new production model, show that it does take some styling cues from the new Scirocco design, but otherwise is pretty similar to previous models. Under the bodywork however, the car will come with a new range of petrol and diesel engines, including a new low emission 2.0-litre TDI. It will also be available with Adaptive Chassis Control.
