Michael Herbert has accepted an invitation to join the Board of the Johnson & Perrott Motor Group as a Non-Executive Director.
Michael is the former CEO of Ireland's largest motor group, Windsor Motor Group, selling over 12,000 retail vehicles per annum and with a staff of 450 people. He is a former President of the Society of the Irish Motor Industry and has spent his entire 40 year career in the motor industry.
Despite formally retiring in 2008, Michael maintains a keen interest and a small number of consultancy roles in the motor industry. He is passionate about the industry and the needs of motorists in Ireland and believes that a big change in policy is needed from our government to introduce incentives to the market and help raise new vehicle sales volumes to an appropriate level for the industry and its employees to survive and prosper.
Speaking at the announcement of Michael's appointment, Mark Whitaker, CEO Johnson & Perrott Group stated "Michael's decision to accept the invitation of Johnson and Perrott Motor Group to join our Board is hugely welcomed and we are delighted to have secured the services of someone with such extensive knowledge and experience in the industry.
We look forward to his positive influence on the business in 2013 and beyond."
