Citroën Motors Ireland has a new chief, with the appointment of Frédéric Soulier as Managing Director.

Frédéric brings a wealth of marketing and commercial experience to his new role, having recently been responsible for dealer and network development in Eastern Europe. Frédéric has worked for Citroën for over twelve years and has had prior experience of the Irish market, having co-ordinated EU importer operations.

Recently he has been working closely with Thierry Calewaert, Citroën Motors Ireland’s previous Managing Director, who has now taken up a new role as Sales Director of Citroën Belgium, to ensure strategic continuity for the brand and a smooth handover.

Commenting on his new appointment, Frédéric said; “I look forward to bringing my family over to Ireland to live here and to enjoy this new experience. I am very enthusiastic and optimistic about the opportunities for Citroën in the Irish market, particularly with the launch of the New C4 in January, and I am looking forward to optimising the potential of the Brand and the dealer network. The new C4 in particular is ideally positioned to move our brand forward in 2011 with over 35% of the Irish car market falling within this segment.”
