Volvo Car Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Adrian Yeates to the role of Acting Managing Director of Volvo Car Ireland. He succeeds Mr David Baddeley who has been appointed Customer Service Director for Volvo Car UK.

Adrian will head up Volvo's passenger car activities in Ireland, including their involvement in the upcoming finishing leg of the Volvo Ocean Race. Adrian will already be familiar to many in the motor industry from his fifteen years in Volvo Car Ireland. Having started with Volvo in 1997 as Field Sales and Marketing Manager, he has held senior positions in Product, Sales and Marketing Communications before his move to Head of Sales in 2010. Adrian holds an honours degree in International Marketing and Languages from Dublin City University and is a member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland.

On his appointment, Adrian said: "We are going through a particularly difficult time as a nation and an industry, but we need to stay positive and look for innovative ways to successfully manage our way out. I am looking forward to meeting this challenge together with our committed Volvo dealer network. I am buoyed by the fantastic products which Volvo has now and those coming in the future. The Volvo Ocean Race finish in Galway next month will provide the ideal platform to launch our all new Volvo V40 which epitomises our Designed Around You philosophy."
