Citroën are embarking on selling cars directly to the public at their new retail premises in Dublin before the end of 2011.
The new showroom, which will also act as the new headquarters for Citroën Ireland, will be the first Irish based dealership within the Citroën Retail Group portfolio, which already owns 12 sites across the UK. Located at the Airside Retail Park in Swords, the site expands Citroën Ireland’s accessibility across the key Dublin market. It also increases Citroën’s national network to 27 dealerships (5 within the Dublin area).
Frédéric Soulier, Managing Director for Citroën Ireland commented “The opening of the Citroën Retail Group site will significantly enhance our dealer network in the important Dublin area, as well as underlining Citroën’s long term commitment and vision for the brand within Ireland.”
David Peel, Citroën Retail Group Chief Executive for UK and Ireland, added, “The new Dublin dealership will open its doors’ ahead of the key January car sales month, with customers being able to visit the new showroom from the end of the year. We are confident that the new site will become a flagship and we look forward to establishing it as a premier destination for new Citroën customers in Ireland.”
As well as providing customers with more opportunities to view the Citroën brand, the new dealership will also provide a welcome jobs boost to the Dublin motor industry.
