The NGK-sponsored M-Sport teams has secured an historic victory at the ADAC Rallye Deutschland, with Ott Tänak and Martin Järveoja taking their Ecoboost-powered Ford Fiesta WRC to the team’s first ever win on German soil.

Another double podium also saw team-mates Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia regain a 17- point lead at the head of the 2017 FIA World Rally Championship drivers’ standings with a controlled drive to third. Both the M-Sport cars are fitted with its NGK spark plugs and NTK Lambda sensors.

Ott Tänak, who lies in third position in the WRC drivers’ championship, said, “Another win feels good and with three events to go I don’t see why we shouldn’t be looking to the guys ahead and to the championship lead ourselves. If you want to fight for the championship you have to keep winning, and that is what we plan to do.”

Mark Hallam, Marketing Manager, NGK Spark Plugs said, “It was yet another fantastic performance by the M-Sport team and their drivers and I’m sure all our customers who follow WRC will be hoping for further top performances from M-Sport during the remainder of the season.”
