Ignition specialist NGK has played host to a special reunion of people who helped establish the market-leading brand in Ireland.

Mr Shinichi Odo, Representative Director, Chairman of the Board, NGK Japan, flew into Dublin from Japan during October for a reunion with two old friends and acknowledged their hard work and service for NGK for more than 30 years.

Stewart Neill, Area Manager (Ireland), NGK Spark Plugs and Norbert Reilly, Managing Director of the P R Reilly business in Dublin, enjoyed a dinner with Mr Odo and two other senior management members of NGK, Hiroaki Uozumi, Assistant to President, NGK EMEA, and Tammy Suzuki, Managing Director, NGK Spark Plugs.

P R Reilly was an Irish distributor of all NGK products for more than 35 years while Stewart Neill has completed 30 years working for the Japanese manufacturer in Ireland.

All three first met back in the early 1990s when Mr Odo was working as an NGK sales representative for NGK's German office. He along with Stewart Neill and their distributors were responsible for the growth in Southern Ireland of NGK.
