NGK-sponsored motorcycle star Chrissy Rouse is the new 2020 Pirelli National Superstock 1000 champion following the last round of the season at Brands Hatch. He clinched the title when he took third place, scoring 16 points to take him 26 points clear of runner-up Tom Neave.

A jubilant Rouse posted on social media: “2020 National Superstock 1000 Champions. Massive thank you to my team and all of my sponsors for making this possible.”

Ignition specialist NGK Spark Plugs has been a long-time supporter of the teacher from Burnopfield near Newcastle, who races a BMW S1000RR for the Crowe Performance Racing team.

NGK Spark Plugs Marketing Manager Mark Hallam said, “It has been a fantastic achievement by Chrissy and his team to take such a prestigious title. He is undoubtedly one of the biggest young motorcycle talents and I’m sure this will be followed by more championship victories. NGK customers who are motorcycle racing fans are sure to follow his exploits over the coming seasons.”
