Danish air conditioning and engine cooling manufacturer Nissens has just released a new free app called ‘Flushing’ which provides a visual guide that helps mechanics flush any automotive climate system on the market.

The majority of cars on European roads are now fitted with a climate system, and this means that garages need to be able to flush these systems effectively. The new app aims to simplify the process by giving the mechanics a ‘step-by-step’ guide, including visual diagnostic support for oil contamination.

Head of Marketing and Communications for Nissens Automotive, Jacob W. Smedegaard says, “As a dedicated aftermarket manufacturer, we see it as our responsibility to help mechanics wherever we can. We have a vast amount of knowledge within our organisation, and we wish to pass this knowledge on. If we can help those mechanics conduct climate services quickly and more efficiently, they will stand stronger in a market that is constantly under pressure. That is why we have developed the ‘Flushing’ app – and why we give it away for free.”

The app describes the flushing process with an easy-to-follow and visual step-by-step guide. This ensures that any mechanic, with the right equipment, will be able to do a quick and efficient flushing of any climate system. The app also includes a visual presentation of different forms of oil contamination. This allows the mechanic to quickly identify the most likely cause for a climate system failure, and saves valuable time in the diagnostic process.

The app is available, free of charge, in Apple’s ‘App Store’, as well as on Google Play.
