Within five years one in five of all car sales will be made on line. That is the view of web management company GForces, which has recently conducted a survey of car buyers.
One in five respondents to the survey said they were ‘very likely’ or ‘likely’, to purchase a vehicle over the Internet in the future. GForces point to the growing number of additional on-line car sales functions such as vehicle reviews, finance propositions and insurance quotations as supporting evidence of this.
The company argues that the changes will create fantastic opportunities for dealers, but only if they have their on-line strategies in order.
