The car that is to replace the Opel Vectra will have a staring role at the British Motor Show later this year. Called the Insignia the family saloon has many sporty details and driver friendly features such as a dash integrated sat nav. Exterior styling is inspired by the GTC concept, which was on display at the Geneva Motor Show in 2007.

The Insignia will hit European showrooms in the autumn and take on the likes of the Ford Mondeo and the Volkswagen Passat for the all important fleet car market.
