Origo Autoparts has made an important addition to its product line-up with the introduction of NK Calipers.

NK offers one of the widest ranges of brake calipers for the aftermarket. Most are high quality remanufactured items, supplemented by new cast calipers for reference numbers with low market volume. A special area caliper of expertise for NK is in electric parking brake calipers. The traditional handbrake lever is disappearing as a growing number of car models are now featuring electrical systems especially on premium models. These offer more comfort and convenience for the driver and more space between the front seats as well as new functions such as hill or auto-hold.

There are basically two technical solutions available: The cable-pull system and the electric-hydraulicsystem. With the cable pull system as the switch is operated by the driver, a motor pulls the cable by either rolling it on a drum or using an internally threaded gear on a spiral attached to the cable. This system does not require any specific caliper type since the connection to the caliper is more or less identical to the traditional hand brake lever system.

With the electric-hydraulic system a new type of brake caliper is required, Electrical Parking Brake (EPB) Caliper. This type of caliper comprises a caliper with an integrated actuator which is electronically controlled. By activating the switch, the actuator will make the caliper move and activate the parking brake function

NK offers one of the widest ranges of calipers in the market. This includes a number of EPB calipers as well as calipers for the cable pull system. Since some of the EPB systems are patented NK always offers EPB types according to this. This ensures a OE quality. On all EPB calipers NK offers a general 5-year warranty against production and material failures. All EPB calipers are handled without any core return obligations or deposit.

The NK caliper range for electric systems comprises 21 axle sets for newer generations of car models such as: Audi A & Q models, Hyundai i30/Kia Ceed, Mercedes A-B-C series, Opel, Astra, Insignia, Mokka models, Renault Scenic, Toyota Avensis, VW Golf, Passat and mnay more.
