Origo Auto Parts will be one of the main exhibitors at the SIMI Trade Exhibition, which takes place on Wednesday October 22nd, in the Red Cow Hotel, Dublin from 2pm – 9pm.

In particular the company will be placing special emphasis on its world-renowned Bosch range of replacement parts and components and workshop and diagnostic equipment.

Bosch recently introduced a brand new line-up in its battery range, to help customers with correct battery selection through simple colour coding. The grey coloured S3 range is for older vehicles with more limited electrical needs and the Blue S4 is suitable for most post 2000 standard applications, which require greater power, including some Enhanced Flooded Battery (EFB) technology. The black S5 range is the premium product offering and includes Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology. These S5 batteries are capable of dealing with additional electrical demands of more modern vehicles with additional systems such as parking sensors, climate control, ESP and satellite navigation.

The comprehensive range of batteries covers a wide variety of car, truck, motorcycle and leisure applications, and is constantly evolving to accommodate developing vehicle technologies, such as Start/Stop systems. Depending on the nature of the vehicle and the features it has, a different Bosch technology has been applied to ensure that performance is never compromised, while remaining cost effective.

Alan Greene of Origo says that the replacement battery market offers garages huge business potential. He comments, "Additional electrical systems on modern vehicles can place a big increased demand on the battery. To cope with this demand regular battery testing and replacement with the correct specification battery where required is essential.” He adds, "Our Bosch range of batteries and battery testing and maintenance equipment offers a complete solution in this potentially lucrative sector and we will be placing special emphasis on this at the SIMI Trade Expo.”
