High quality adhesives are essential materials in bodyshops and workshops and an increasing number are making PowerWeld their product of choice. Distributed in Ireland by All Task Solutions and available from stockists nationwide, PowerWeld is an advanced modified Methyl-Methacrylat-Ester (MMA) structural adhesive.

Martin McCloskey of All Task Solutions says, “PowerWeld is capable of bonding aluminium, stainless steel and most plastics along with ABS, PVC, GRP, polycarbonate and many more materials. It can be used to fill in bumper cracks, repair broken headlamp and bumper brackets, radiators, engine covers and has even been
used to repair aluminium sumps.” Martin explains that the adhesive can also be drilled and tapped, sands very well and is suitable for easy repaint.

Structural bonding on vehicles demands extremely high degrees of strength, speed and safety and PowerWeld is especially suitable for metal bonding, as well as modern difficult to bond plastics and innovative composites. It achieves very high strength, while retaining a degree of elasticity and is highly resistant to extreme temperatures. As such, it can provide a convenient alternative to many conventional bonding methods like welding, soldering or riveting.

All Task Solutions also say that PowerWeld offers many other benefits in terms of
workability, cure speed and shelf life. Martins says, “PowerWeld scores over other adhesive because it has a unique advanced formulation. The methyl methacrylate monomer used only accounts for approximately 40%
of the composition and it is the other 60% of co-polymers that really separates PowerWeld from other manufacturers.”

PowerWeld is available in 50ml and 250ml. For more information call All Task Solutions on 058-43688.
