Paul Warren, one of the most well known and respected figures in the Irish aftermarket has retired from his role as Sales Director of Strongline Autoparts after 36 years. Paul started work with George W. Strong Agencies in 1983 in their premises in Dolphins Barn, initially in the office before progressing to an on the road sales role. Working alongside George and Pat Strong he helped to grow the business from its humble beginnings to one of the main players in the Irish automotive distribution market.


Paul stayed on in his role as Sales Director when the MacNeaney family bought the business in September 1998. During his time with the company Paul contributed to the many positive changes including the name change in 2001, the move to a brand new custom built premises in 2004 and the addition of many new brands and product ranges.

Paul was well liked by both motor factor customers and Stongline’s many high profile suppliers. Strongline Managing Director, David MacNeaney, commented “Paul was a valued and trusted colleague. He had a great sense of humour and a razor sharp wit. He will be missed and we wish him a long, happy and healthy retirement.”

Paul now has more time for his many interests, which include amateur dramatics and vintage motorbikes. He will also get to enjoy more time with his family and in particular his first grandchild.
