Thierry Neuville will compete on a national rally in Ireland next year in memory of his Hyundai team-mate and friend Craig Breen.

The Irishman lost his life in a testing crash in April this year and Neuville wants to help fans remember Breen by contesting the Raven’s Rock Rally – a domestic event based out of Breen’s hometown of Waterford.

Neuville has confirmed Breen’s best friend Patrick ‘Paddy’ Croke will co-drive for him on the asphalt event.

Croke has experience of Raven’s Rock, having finished on the podium with Breen in 2017.

“It didn’t take me long to answer when Thierry told me we would be doing the event together,” said Croke.

“Co-driving Thierry Neuville… it doesn’t come much more special than that. There was a real feeling on this year’s Raven’s Rock Rally [in June] that Craig was with us, he was looking down on the event – I’m sure he’ll be doing that next year.”
