Polestar Opens new Snow-Room

The idea of a pop-up temporary dealership is not new, but they usually appear in shopping centres and at major events. Electric car maker Polestar has come up with a pop-up showroom with a difference, as it is made entirely out of snow.  


Called the Polestar Space it is located in Rovaniemi, Finland. The building is a little more complex than a snowman and took almost three weeks to build. It has 2m thick snow walls and is 12m high. Inside there is a real Polestar 2, as well as ice sculptures of components such as wheels, suspension parts, and brakes.

Although mainly a publicity vehicle, visitors to the showroom can actually test drive and purchase a car. It will stay open until the end of February, when it will be dismantled with the snow returned to a near-by ski resort.
