Former British Touring Car champion Alec Poole is coming to Dublin for a picnic.
Poole will attend the RIAC Picnic in the Park on June 12 in Marlay Park, Rathfarnham, Dublin. The event will mark the 60th birthday of the original Mini and therefore it is entirely fitting that this great champion attends as his most notable successes were achieved at the wheel of the original Mini. Indeed Alec’s many successes are synonymous with the Mini and its derivatives throughout its competition years.
The RIAC Picnic in the Park takes place annually in aid of LauraLynn, Ireland’s only children’s hospice, and runs from 4pm to 8.30pm. All proceeds will be donated to LauraLynn whose incredible work can make a huge difference to those children so much less fortunate in life.
The Mellochords will be playing on the day for everyone to enjoy some amazing live music.
All proceeds will be donated to LauraLynn – a minimum donation of €10, but feel free to donate more if you wish.
If you would like to register a vehicle you can do so here by donating €10.
The event is open to owners of cherished cars and motorcycles and those wishing to take part can do so via the RIAC website www.riac.ie/events.
