PPG Industries has signed a five-year contract with Kia Motors Europe (KME). The agreement names PPG as a chosen refinish paint supplier for KME’s growing bodyshop repair network in Europe.

Kia has a very focused approach to aftersales care, as reflected in the company’s seven-year warranty. It is now looking to build on this by helping to maintain and optimise the repair process for its vehicles through the use of products and services from PPG Automotive’ s leading NEXA AUTOCOLOR® and PPG refinish brands to its network of 2146 collision centres in 16 European countries.

This commercial agreement is based on strategic initiatives and includes services to increase KME’s CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index).  PPG will also provide individual training and technical support to help its new Kia customers to optimise the repair process and boost bodyshop productivity.

“The new collaboration with the world-renowned PPG Industries is set to deliver mutual value to both parties, focused on improving customer satisfaction and increasing the efficiency of the Kia-approved repair network.” commented Uwe Hannes, Vice President Customer Quality, Kia Motors Europe. “We were impressed by PPG’s comprehensive expertise of the refinish market, clear evidence of its ability to innovate, and its range of high quality refinish paints. By working closely with PPG we are confident that the expanding network of Kia-approved bodyshops will be able to offer European customers the best possible repair and refinishing service.”

Wojciech Kusmirek, Business Development Manager at PPG Industries, said, “We are very proud to be working with Kia Motors Europe. The fact we have been selected by one of the largest car manufacturers in the world, and after such careful scrutiny, is a demonstration to our brands, services and products.”
