Profits rise for UK bodyshops

New profit figures released by two of the UK’s biggest bodyshop operators, show that despite the economic slow down and reducing volumes, accident repair can still be a good business. Independent bodyshop chain Just Car Clinics, reported a 16.8% rise in turnover from the first half of 2008. The UK's largest independent bodyshop group, Nationwide Accident Repair Services also saw revenue rise by around 16%. Both companies were able to boost their growth rates through acquisition of new sites. However, even when new outlets are taken out of the picture, there was still significant revenue and profit growth, although financial analysts might still be concerned about each groups overall return on investment.
