ProLux Systemtechnik, supplier of parts and accessories for vehicle transportation, towing and recovery, will be bringing their freshly printed 2010/2011 catalogue to the IFRS show in July. At 320 pages, ProLux claim it is the biggest catalogue of its kind worldwide. The new catalogue has more than 80 new products and innovations to look forward to. Vehicle recovery operators can find just about everything they need to carry out their job, but the catalogue is also becoming increasingly popular amongst dealerships, body repair shops, garages, rescue and communal services.

One of the revolutionary new products featured is ProTouch Master, a touchscreen with a particular type of truck depicted, and on/off touch icons for all supplementary functions i.e. lightbar, headlights, worklights, PTOs, to name but a few. High-side drivers have been favoured to conventional relays because they can’t short-circuit, and the unit picks up all of the vehicles’ can-bus data such as handbrake on/off, side lights on/off, clutch engaged/disengaged, ignition on/off and uses that information to increase the effectiveness of ProTouch Master. One possible function could be that the unit emits a tone when the driving speed reaches 30mph and the lightbar is still on. Technically speaking, anything is possible due to the fact that the unit has all of the vehicle data at its disposal. The wiring itself is can-bus (2 wires) and therefore reduces installation time immensely. Green and red LEDs simplify the fault-finding process, by indicating good and faulty functions.

ProLux also have an interesting new range of next-generation radio remote controls. The units are completely waterproof, and so tough that they withstand being dropped from 4 metres. With other features such as sensor-controlled backlighting, one-touch programming, safety point (unit will only work when next to safety plate) or proportional function (turn unit like a motorbike accelerator to speed up or slow down), these units are sure to make an impact.

ProLux welcome everyone visiting and supporting the IFRS show and look forward to seeing familiar as well as new faces. Anybody who can’t make it to the show can order their catalogue online: www.towing.de or by phone: 00800-9955-9955 (international freephone) or 0049-7304-9695100.
