Peugeot held their annual Aftersales Conference recently at the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel, Dublin, attended by 80 Parts Managers and Service Managers from across the Peugeot Dealer Network in Ireland.

At the conference, Peugeot presented the Peugeot Service Manager of the Year 2013 award to Andrew Slattery, Slattery's Garage, Puckane. At 26, Andrew is the youngest Service Manager to ever win the award. Zoltan Hicz, Parts Manager at Slattery's Garage, was awarded Peugeot Parts Manager of the Year 2013.

Craig Breen, Peugeot Sport rally ace, made a guest appearance at the conference, which was also attended by Automobiles Peugeot representatives Iain Rae and Francois-Xavier Delvallee.

Andrew, a regular visitor to the family-run dealership from an early age is a Cork IT graduate in Transport and Automobile Engineering. He began full time employment in the Service Department in 2008. He is currently competing in the Dunlop National Rally Championship in a Peugeot 208 R2.

Speaking at the Peugeot Aftersales Conference, Andrew said, "I am delighted with the Peugeot Service Manager of the Year Award and it is an added bonus for Zoltan to bring home the Parts Manager Award. At Slattery's Garage, we've worked very hard to ensure our customers receive a second-to-none experience. It is extremely gratifying to win the two accolades."

Zoltan holds a BA Hons in Mechanical Engineering from Budapest University and resides in Borrisokane with his wife and three children. He began his career in the motor industry in Hungary in 1997 working for Peugeot before moving to Ireland in 2007 and bringing with him a wealth of experience and knowledge to Slattery's Garage. He is a Formula One and Rally fanatic.

Peugeot Aftersales in Ireland assess their Dealers by examining progress during a 12-month period to ensure Peugeot standards are implemented. On the Service side, a high Customer Satisfaction Index must be achieved and vehicles maintained to the highest standard. An effective Customer Relationship Management programme must be in place and the Dealership must participate at regular technical training courses. In terms of Parts objectives, Dealers are assessed on stock management, accomplishment of sales targets for parts and accessories and showroom display of Peugeot Boutique.

Recognised by Peugeot's adjudication team for the excellent all-round Service and Parts that they have provided, Andrew and Zoltan were clear winners of this year's titles.

All customers at Slattery's Garage Puckane are invited to join the Peugeot Service Club, a service loyalty programme entitling customers to every fourth service free. The Peugeot Service Club is open to everybody, every make and every model. Plus, to celebrate both Service Manager and Parts Manager of the Year awards, Slattery's will be giving all loyal customers a free goody bag for services booked and carried out in March.
