Rain-X - Not just for the car

Team P R Reilly have highlighted how its innovative Rain-X product has multiple uses, not just on the car but also around the house.

Rain-X Rain Repellent is well known for its improvement in wet-weather visibility and safety by creating an invisible hydrophobic coating that repels rain, sleet and snow. Also working its way on to the Irish market is Rain-X Plastic Water Repellent, which works much the same way, but is specifically formulated for use on plastic surfaces. Raindrops bead up upon contact with the super slick coating and are blown away by aerodynamic wind flow from driving. This coating also makes for easy removal of ice, salt, mud and bugs and is ideal for windscreen, side and rear windows and headlights. In tests conducted by a major university, better visibility improved driving response time up to a full second or more. At motorway speeds this equates to almost four car lengths of extra stopping distance.

Rain-X Repellents also have many applications domestically these include;
  • Shower Doors - Rain-X Rain Repellent will help prevent smudges and streaks for up to 3 months on smooth glass and plastic shower doors.
  • Windows - Rain-X can be used on windows to minimise the need for cleaning.
  • Mobile Phone Screens - Rain-X Rain Repellent can keep tough screen phone screens clear and smudge free.
  • Other similar uses include tablets, mirrors, glass tables and glass fish tanks.
Also now available for Team P R Reilly Depots and stockists is Rain-X 2 in 1 Glass Cleaner + Rain Repellent.
