It has been a very long time since the last free REPXPERT Academy Live training day, when Basingstoke College of Technology hosted the Schaeffler technical team back in January 2020. With the pandemic finally receding, and most Covid restrictions now removed REPXPERT Academy LIVE is now returning to the road. 

The first event of the new season will be at the STEAM Academy at Bridgend College’s new Pencoed campus in South Wales on Saturday 21st May, where visitors will be able to learn about the latest technologies, tools, and product installation skills from the renowned Schaeffler REPXPERT team, in four easily digestible 45-minute training sessions. 

Each session is designed to offer garage owners and professional technicians a taster of the complete one or two-day IMI certified training packages available from Schaeffler directly, or through its distribution partners. Even though they are ‘taster’ sessions, they are packed full of valuable tips, tricks, and best practice advice, so IMI members can still claim CPD points for a full day of training.

Schaeffler will be offering an introduction to LuK Double Clutch Systems, as well as a Timing Belt Workshop from industry expert Tim Adams – with the alternative title of ‘How to avoid expensive mistakes!’

Local garage owner, Hayley Pells of Avia Autos, is supporting the event, as well as hosting a training session on ‘Pathway to EV’, which should be a draw for many workshops looking to invest in the infrastructure they may need to undertake EV servicing and repairs. Another local garage owner, Tim Benson, will be the second guest presenter, with an all-new workshop business masterclass.

During the breaks, the workshop becomes the focus, where visitors can browse the Laser tools display, chat with garage management system suppliers TechMan, check out the latest from braking specialists Brembo, or visit the REPXPERT van to learn more about our award-winning technical platform.
 
Entry to REPXPERT Academy LIVE is free of charge and includes complimentary breakfast, lunch, and refreshments throughout. Doors open at 9am, with training starting at 10am, and the event will draw to a close at around 4pm.
