SATA has now been a leading supplier of spraygun cleaning equipment since 2008, with its RCS Turbo unit very popular with bodyshops due to its compact size; extremely low operational costs and fast cleaning.

The RCS Turbo is a self-contained unit which accommodates two 0.9 litre RPS pots behind the front lower cover, one is filled with the required cleaning solution and the other receives the used cleaning solution, this simple design ensures that at no time can the waste solution overflow. The device has the facility in the first cleaning compartment to deliver a mixture of cleaning solution and compressed air via a short tube to the material inlet of the spray gun; this mixture thoroughly cleans the material passages using the cavitation principle. In addition whilst the solution is being directed into the material aperture the front of the air cap can be moved against the cleaning brush located within the machine. The spray gun is connected to a low-pressure air supply prior to the cleaning process to prevent any ingress of cleaning solution into unnecessary areas of the gun. Once this part of the operation has been completed, it takes about 20 seconds, the gun is moved to the second portion of the machine and the gun can be thoroughly dried using compressed air, a further 5 or 10 seconds. The drying of a spray gun is essential to prevent possible corrosion.

The RCS Turbo device can be mounted within the spray booth itself, outside the booth or in the paint mixing room.

For instances where an even more compact design is required the latest additions to the range, the RCS Compact and RCS Micro have been designed to perform the same function as the RCS Turbo, however they do not have the integral area for the 0.9 litre RPS pots, instead they are equipped with two pipes which allow the use of any container such as an original 25 litre container of cleaning solution and an empty one to be located on the floor below the unit to dispense and receive the clean and dirty solution respectively.

The very compact RCS Micro often allows a bodyshop to install two units side by side, one for solvent and one for water based cleaning in minimal space. RCS units also offer paintshops an effective cleaning solution for an economical one off cost as apposed to a monthly fixed cost of machine rental.
