Spray equipment specialist SATA will be presenting its latest innovations at Automechanika Birmingham, including its new SATA trueSun, an LED inspection lamp that offers a daylight solution light source.

The selection of the correct colour shade for refinishing a vehicle requires a source of light that preferably reproduces the entire colour range of visible light, or daylight, as accurately as possible. The SATA trueSun LED lamp has been especially designed for this purpose and allows for a professional colour shade evaluation and identification within the paintshop.

Paint reworks caused by incorrect colour identification and the respective rectification cost involved means that when selecting a daylight lamp bodyshops cannot afford to compromise on quality. SATA says that its trueSun LED lamp represents a very sound investment for refinishers and through helping to avoid just one rework it will cover the purchase cost.

With this high quality SATA lamp the uniform light distribution across the entire illuminated area simplifies the selection of the right colour shade and post application makes it easy to identify coating flaws such as mottling. The light intensity can be adjusted continuously via a sliding control and this intensity remains unchanged for the entire battery capacity, which at full intensity is around 70 minutes. The light can be fully charged in just 50 minutes and it has a built in charge level display.

Also on display at the SATA stand will be its latest high performance sprayguns and other innovative bodyshop products such as its Rapid Preparation System.

The SATA stand is in hall 20 at location H100.
