ATA training gives technicians working in the accident repair sector, the opportunity to gain recognition for their skills and demonstrate their competence to both customers and employers. The highly respected ATA certification is fast gaining popularity with progressive bodyshops in Ireland, who are looking to employ the very latest best practice repair and refinishing techniques and gain a unique insight into the latest advanced technology repair methods.  

 

A selection of ATA courses are on offer at the Riverpark Centre in Mallusk covering paint, panel and MET at different levels.

 

The outstanding quality of the training and development on offer at the centre, was last year reflected in a unique achievement by Riverpark apprentice Rebecca Wilson, who won a Bronze medal for car painting at the bi-annual World Skills competition in Sao Paulo Brazil. Rebecca from Ballynahinch and an employee of CM Accident Repair in Co Down, fought against some of the brightest talent from around the globe for her medal and in the process, proved herself to be one of the best car painters on the world stage.  

 

Rebecca’s success added to the long list of accolades given to Riverpark Training, their staff and students in recent years.  In 2013, Riverpark students Matthew Quinn and Gary Greer, won a Bronze medal and a medallion of excellence in Car body repair and Car Painting respectively in Leipzig Germany. Riverpark Training has also won the Institute of Motor Industry’s ‘Specialised Centre of the year award’ and Bodyshop magazine’s ‘Education award’ in both 2013 and 2014.
