As part of its recent Top Supplier Meeting in Detroit, Ford presented its "World Excellence Awards” for the 17th time.

 

For its environmentally friendly innovations in the field of fuel economy, Schaeffler, the company behind the LuK clutch, INA tensioner and FAG wheel bearing OE brands, picked up one of the sought-after awards in the "Smart Pillar” category.

 

The award puts the Schaeffler Group among a number of suppliers worldwide, that have made a particularly large contribution to one of the four Ford brand pillars, Quality, Green, Safe, and Smart.

 

Schaeffler produces engine, transmission, and chassis components for Ford world-wide. The product portfolio ranges from clutch systems, dual mass flywheels, finger followers with hydraulic pivot elements, and camshaft phasing units, through to a wide range of bearing solutions for the drive train.
