Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket has officially rebranded as Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions. The name change took place at the start of November and follows the full integration of Vitesco Technologies Group into Schaeffler, with the merger having been finalised at the start of October.
The new name has been chosen to highlight the wider offering the company will provide to the aftermarket thanks to the merger, as well as its ongoing commitment to technological innovation.
“Our new name positions the company as a complete solutions provider rather than just a parts supplier,” said Matt Selby, Sales and Marketing Director at Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions UK Ltd. He added, “Our new identity will also highlight our uniquely forward-looking approach in the increasingly crowded aftermarket. By focusing on the vehicle life cycle holistically, Schaeffler can differentiate itself through innovation, offering advanced services such as predictive maintenance and digital solutions, as well as our usual array of high-tech precision kits and components.”
Garages and technicians will continue to receive the backing they have come to expect from the company. “Schaeffler VLS will be looking to support forward-thinking garage owners with everything their technicians need to carry out their daily work,” said Matt. “We will also be able to drive sustainable growth and provide comprehensive solutions that cater to every stage of a vehicle's life cycle.”
Schaeffler’s INA, LuK and FAG product brands will not be directly affected by the name change, while Schaeffler’s REPXPERT service offering will continue to grow and evolve. However, garages can expect to see exciting new product ranges coming very soon. “We will support Vitesco through sales of their OEM NOx sensor range into the UK and Irish aftermarket,” said Matt, “as well as working with them on other, wider ranging future mobility projects as part of our new status as a complete solutions provider.”
