Simple Secure Diagnostic Access from Bosch
Share:

Diagnostics is fundamental to more and more service and repair procedures on modern vehicles, however, getting the right diagnostic access to vehicle systems is not always straight forward. Many vehicle manufacturers now restrict diagnostic access and are effectively locking technicians out when it comes to many procedures.

When access is limited many technicians assume that that certain everyday servicing tasks, calibrations and even service resets are only possible with a dealer tool, however, Bosch can offer a more convenient and cost effective alternative.

The challenge to independent workshops is that if numerous tools and software subscriptions are required it means multiple logins and something of a complex and expensive payment maze.

The Solution is Bosch SDA (Secure Diagnostic Access). This provides access to vehicle manufacturer-protected systems, via a one-time registration. With over 20 vehicle manufacturers covered at no additional cost and more being added, Bosch SDA is convenient, practical and cost effective.

To access Bosch SDA it is just a matter of having compatible KTS and ESI[tronic] subscriptions. SDA is already included with all ESI[tronic] main package subscriptions

The technician then has access to one combined hardware and software solution for effective diagnostic access. With SDA there is one single login and registration for all participating manufacturers

Currently the list of vehicle manufacturers covered by SDA is:
  • Abarth
  • Alfa Romeo
  • Audi
  • Chrysler
  • Dacia
  • Dodge/RAM
  • Fiat
  • Ford
  • Hyundai/Kia
  • Jeep
  • Lancia
  • Mercedes-Benz
  • Nissan
  • Polestar
  • Porsche
  • Renault
  • Seat/Cupra
  • Skoda
  • Subaru
  • Volvo
  • VW
