Snap-on the global automotive tool, equipment and diagnostics group has announced that it has acquired the assets of air conditioning specialist Ecotechnics S.p.A.


Based in Sesto Fiorentino, Italy, Ecotechnics, designs and manufactures automatic vehicle air conditioning maintenance equipment for OEM dealerships and the automotive aftermarket worldwide. Its sales in 2014 were approximately €12.4 million.

Ecotechnics will be integrated in to the Snap-on Repair Systems & Information Group. The acquisition was made for $13.0 million.
