The Sogefi Group has underlined its reputation as a first choice supplier to global vehicle manufacturers by picking up a prestigious General Motors Supplier of the Year 2013 Award.
Now in their 22nd year, these GM awards are reserved for suppliers able to guarantee innovative technologies, superior quality, excellent levels of service and competitive solutions. Fewer than one in every hundred suppliers achieve such recognition.
The award, in the air intake systems category, was delivered directly to Sogefi Group CEO Guglielmo Fiocchi by Mary Barra, the US manufacturer's new CEO, at a ceremony held in Detroit. During the ceremony Guglielmo Fiocchi said Sogefi was extremely pleased to have been able to supply winning solutions in response to the needs of General Motors. "This prize is not a finishing point, it’s recognition of a job well done," he said. "Above all, it’s a demonstration of our abilities when we all work together with passion, method and competence."
Sogefi say the ability to deliver at the OEM level is also reflected in its position as a supplier of aftermarket air, cabin air, oil and fuel filtration components. Andrea Taschini, General Manager of Sogefi's Aftermarket Business Unit, says, "Our engineers have repeatedly proven that Sogefi’s advanced filter technologies are first choice for global operating OEMs. All of our IAM products are made to exactly the same specifications as the original OE products.”
Sogefi Aftermarket Business Unit is one of Europe’s major providers of both original and replacement car filters, and Europe’s leading provider of filters to the independent aftermarket. The company’s CoopersFiaam, Fram® and Purflux aftermarket brands offer a complete range of advanced, OE-quality, automotive oil, air, fuel and cabin air filters, covering all major American, European and Asian car makes. As part of its commitment to communicating the benefits of OE quality to customers, Sogefi is also part of OESAA (the Original Equipment Suppliers Aftermarket Association).
