Somora held the first of a series of three Yuasa Battery Training evenings at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blanchardstown last night.
The event attracted both technicians and motor factor staff from all over Dublin and the surrounding areas, who were all provided with the inside track on the latest battery technology and how to make the most of the very considerable opportunities that the battery business sector can offer at present.
Ian Newham, Head Training Manager for Yuasa Battery Europe, presented a highly informative training presentation covering the latest developments in Stop/Start Technologies, best practice when checking battery warranties and how to use the new Yuasa GYT250 Battery Tester. He also provided an introduction to new Yuasa battery chargers and an overview on the online Yuasa Academy, which now provides 23 free battery training modules. Ian also gave an insight in to the latest Lithium Ion starter batteries which are already starting to replace lead acid batteries and will become compulsory on new cars from 2030.
Ian was also able to provide those attending with answers to the many questions they had on developing battery technology and give practical advice to help them boost their battery business.
At the end of the evening there was a prize draw for 3 €100 Ticket Master Vouchers and the star prize a 65 inch LG 4K TV, which went to John Walton of Waltons Garage Ranelagh. All those attending also received a Yuasa Goodie Bag.
