Novol range of refinishing products has slotted in well with Somora's existing ranges, which covers body panels, lighting, radiators, air-conditioning condensers, door mirrors, suspension arms and electric window regulators.

Novol was introduced to the Somora range last year, and as Cormac Moore of Somora points out, demand for the products quickly increased. He says, “Initial reaction to the quality and value of the products was very positive and we quickly saw the potential the brand has to offer. This meant we soon added two new technical sales reps to give nationwide coverage for our bodyshop product offer.”

John Keenan and Seamus Collins were recruited through Autobizjobs.ie and joined Thomas Ellis on the sales team specialising in refinish products. John predominantly looks after the northern counties, with Seamus operating coast to coast across the Midlands and Thomas covering mainly the Munster region. Cormac comments, “We now have a very able and experienced sales team in place to support the Novol range. They call on bodyshops, but always work in partnership with local motor factors, when it comes to sales and the supply of goods.”

Novol has been consistently growing in terms of sales volume and customer numbers since it was introduced. Cormac attributes this partly to the combination of high quality and good value the range has to offer and also the diversity of the product range plays an important part. He says, “Some suppliers tend to just offer primers and lacquers, but the Novol range is far more comprehensive including fillers, putties, stone chips and other ancillary products, in addition to high quality primers and lacquers.”

Novol also offers products in three different ranges: The Professional range is the main stay and covers many of the refinishing requirements of busy bodyshops. Spectral is Novol’s premium brand and is manufactured to the same standards as the market’s premier brands, but at a much more competitive price. Higher volume shops often favour this range. Lastly, Ultra is the entry-level range. These products are available in small pack sizes, convenient for carrying out small repair jobs.
