Bodyshops can now train employees almost anytime, anywhere, using the new online MyTraining programme from Spies Hecker.
Spies Hecker has harnessed the multiple benefits of the Internet for training by introducing an online training programme specifically for refinishers. Bodyshop employees will be able to expand their refinish knowledge systematically with the help of MyTraining. The advantage of this new training offering is the fact that it can be carried out regardless of time and location. Each of the individual e-learning modules can be completed in around an hour and they can be stopped at any point and resumed later. This makes the training programme particularly convenient as it gives users the ability to adapt to the bodyshop workload.
Signing up for MyTraining is very simple. Bodyshops just have to register on the Spies Hecker webshop – www.spiesheckerwebshop.co.uk - and apply for access for their business and their employees. They will then be sent a password with which they can login and start right away.
The content of MyTraining is divided into seven training and one informational modules. These include surface pre-treatment, repairing plastic parts, and refinish processes and techniques. The many explanatory images, videos and interactive animations take users through the content step by step.
Kevin Welling, Training Academy Manager for Axalta Coatings Systems commented, “With MyTraining, Spies Hecker is offering bodyshops and all their employees a reliable and cost-effective training solution. MyTraining helps to minimise traditional training travel costs and downtime, as employees can work through the training modules at a time that suits them. Even experienced professional refinishers can find out new information about colour and product trends, as well as functional materials.”
Each training module concludes with a test. If users achieve an 80% pass score, they will move on to the next module. Once all modules have been successfully completed, every participant receives a personalised certificate as an E-certified Spies Hecker Master Painter. There is then an option to take a practical skills test at the Spies Hecker Training Academy in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, to become a Certified Spies Hecker Master Painter.
