Ford Ireland has announced the expansion of its retail network with the appointment of Spirit Ford in Sandyford, Co. Dublin, as a new Ford dealer.

Spirit Motor Group is a well established car retail business in South  County Dublin and holds franchises for the Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo brands.

"In these tough market conditions, it is great to be announcing the addition of Spirit Ford to our network", commented Eddie Murphy, Chairman and Managing Director, Ford Ireland. "With their state of the art facility in Sandyford, Spirit Ford re-establishes the Ford brand within the South County Dublin area. The addition of the Ford franchise will greatly broaden the appeal of Spirit Motor Group as a 'one stop shop', given their broad portfolio of brands. We look forward to the Ford brand playing a major role in the years ahead".

Alan Moore, Dealer Principal of the new Spirit Ford dealership, has a broad range of experience in the Irish motor industry spanning more than 25 years.  Commenting on the opening of Spirit Ford, Moore said: "We are delighted to be joining the Ford Dealer Network. The Ford range is rightly a strong favourite with Irish motorists and we look forward to welcoming many existing and new Ford customers to our showrooms in Sandyford.  It is great to be representing another brand that is constantly bringing new technology to market.  The addition of the Ford
MyKey function with new Fiesta and the SYNC connectivity system in the new B-MAX are key new innovations offered by Ford."

The new Spirit Ford dealership with a staff of 26 will operate from the former Appleyard Motors premises opposite the Beacon in Sandyford and can be contacted at (01) 216 3600.
