Spirit Motor Group has announced the expansion of its Ford dealership, Spirit Ford, with the acquisition of Lillis O’Donnell Motor Company at the Red Cow Roundabout in Dublin.

Spirit Motor Group is a well-established car retail business in South County Dublin, holding a number of franchises in the area.  Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo, Ford and Skoda each have their own showrooms across three different locations.  In addition, Spirit Premium offers a select range of pre-owned vehicles prepared to the highest standard.

Spirit Motor Group will continue to expand the business activity of Lillis O’Donnell Motor Company, representing the Ford brand for both cars and light commercial vehicles and will trade under the business name Spirit Lillis O’Donnell.

This expansion will include the development of a new flagship Ford Transit Centre of Excellence at separate premises in nearby Baldonnell Business Park.

With the addition of Spirit Lillis O’Donnell, Spirit Motor Group will maintain all twenty-five jobs, bringing the total number of people employed by Spirit Motor Group to 130.  Current staff in Lillis O’Donnell Motor Company will remain with Spirit Lillis O’Donnell, headed up by Sean Lillis and Sean O’Donnell.

Commenting on the announcement, Sean Lillis said “We are very excited about this new development and we are delighted to be joining the team at Spirit Motor Group.  We know that this new initiative will further enhance the Ford experience for all our many loyal customers.”

Gerard O’Farrell, Managing Director of Spirit Motor Group said "The merging of the very successful Lillis O’Donnell business with Spirit Ford’s operations will enable Spirit Motor Group to offer a premium quality ownership experience to many Ford customers, stretching from South East Dublin to South West Dublin from three prominent locations.  We look forward to working with all of the team from Lillis O’Donnell Motor Company in expanding our customer offer and growing the Ford brand in Dublin.”
