Staff at leading aftermarket distributor J&S Automotive, are stepping up to the mark in May, to raise much needed funds for the suicide and self harm prevention charity Pieta. As part of a “Step up for Pieta” initiative, 30 staff members will complete a target number of steps per day throughout the month and be sponsored to raise funds for this very worthy cause.
The idea came from J&S Head of collision and crash repair Gary Mooney, who has set himself an ambitious target of 1 million steps in the month of May. Other staff will be aiming for a more conservative, but still substantial 12 to 15,000 steps per day.
Katie Hilliard of J&S Automotive commented, “Pieta is a charity that is close to the hearts of many in the J&S staff team and we greatly admire the vital work that this charity does, especially in these difficult times. We wanted to show our support and raise funds for Pieta and getting active during the month of May seemed like a great way to do it.”
