Standox has announced dates for its 2014 training courses and ATA assessments.


Standox training courses cover a wide range of skills and practices, enabling refinishers to do everything from brush up on the basics, to learn specialist techniques, such as three stage colour repairs. There is also a strong emphasis on colour match accuracy with dedicated colouristic and spectrophotometer courses.

Jodie Henly, Standox UK Brand Specialist, says, “Our training courses, which start in March will be very popular if previous years are any indication. We deliberately keep class numbers low to offer the best possible, most professional training experience.  I would advise refinishers who are interested to book their places as soon as they can to avoid disappointment.”

The course details are:

Advanced Standohyd Refinishing – A two day general course to improve refinishing skills and efficiency, also covering latest advanced refinishing techniques. Course dates: 31 March/1 April 2014, 1/2 July 2014, 16/17 October 2014, 4/5 December 2014.

Standox Colouristic - A two-day course on colour mixing and matching and effective use of latest Standox colour tools.
Course dates: 11/12 June 2014, 10/11 September 2014, 5/6 November 2014.

Standox Micro Repair – A one day course on micro repair techniques.Course dates: 14 April 2014, 7 July 2014, 29 October 2014.

Standox Three Stage Colour – A two-day course designed to teach technicians the correct process and application of special three-stage finishes. Course dates: 29/30 May 2014, 28/29 August 2014, 16/17 December 2014.

Standox Genius Colour Tool – A one day course on effective use of the Standox Genius spectrophotometer.
Course dates: 17 April 2014, 23 July2014, 23 October 2014.

Standox is also running ATA Pre Assessments and ATA Senior Paint Technician Assessments. Details are available at www.standox.co.uk/training.  All courses will take place at the Standox Training Academy, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire UK. This is easily accessed by Irish customers through Stansted Airport.
