North County Dublin based Statewide Towing, has added a new vehicle to its fleet with the addition of a 3,000kg capacity Dyson Hydraloader 3000 La (Low approach) slidebed with second vehicle lift, fitted to a 7.5-tonne Isuzu N75 chassis.
It joins an impressive line-up of recovery trucks, which also includes a Dyson Hydraloader 6000 slidebed with additional top-loading platform, mounted on a 12-tonne Iveco chassis, and a Landoll travelling axle trailer for heavy vehicle recoveries.
Statewide Towing was founded in 1997 by Managing Director Mark Hoare but can trace its roots back to 1931, when his grandfather founded Hoare’s Garage in the seaside town of Rush, in North County Dublin. Since 2001 Mark has run the business in partnership with his wife Nikki, who previously worked for the RAC and whose main focus was to grow the recovery side of the operation. This now works out of impressive new premises in Balbriggan, just off the M1 Dublin Belfast road, within easy reach of Dublin.
Statewide Towing provides a full spectrum of breakdown and recovery services for vehicles of all sizes. It is the sole recovery provider to the Dublin Port Tunnel since its opening in 2006 and it also works for the Garda, major motoring organisations, insurance companies, plant companies, truck operators and dealers.

Mark points out that with presentation of vehicles a vital part of his business, the quality of Dyson vehicles paintwork is “second to none and very durable” and he has particular praise for Dyson’s parts back-up service and Parts Manager Alex Mills. He says, “His stock control is excellent. We have only to call Alex and quote the series number on the body – he knows exactly what we need and despite the fact that we’re on the other side of the Irish Sea, we invariably get it the next day.”
