The NGK-sponsored M-Sport Ford World Rally team ended the South American leg of the WRC season by claiming two top five finishes at the Rally Chile. Drivers Elfyn Evans and Teemu Suninen took their EcoBoost-powered Ford Fiesta WRCs, fitted with NGK spark plugs and NTK Lambda sensors, to fourth and fifth position respectively.

Team Principal Richard Millener said, “To finish with both cars in the top-five is definitely a good result, but it’s also been a bit of a frustrating weekend as I think we were capable of more. Both drivers delivered clean and tidy performances, and we were able to show some good speed at times, but we just didn’t have the consistency to challenge for the podium.”

Mark Hallam, Marketing Manager, NGK Spark Plugs said. “It was a very solid performance by the team in arduous conditions which bodes well for the rest of the championship season.“
