Electric Vehicles Ireland have provided a trial vehicle for the Great Electric Drive, part of the ESB's eCar ambassadors drive.


ESB e Cars have invited members of the general public and businesses to join a team of eCar ambassadors to take part in an electric vehicle trial over the next 12 months. With over 12,000 applicants, nineteen people and two companies were chosen to experience electric driving. The electric cars are being provided from ESB eCars own fleet while Electric Vehicles Ireland have provided a Smith Edison fully electric pick-up truck and Renault have provided a van. The Smith Edison will be used by Rusheen Bay Windsurfing School, based in Galway.
