Techplus have been providing some valuable assistance to Paul Furlong, Ireland's representative at WorldSkills 2011, taking place in London from 5-8 October.

Paul, who is an apprentice with M.F. Garage Services, Wexford, is representing Ireland in the Automobile Technology category at the event. Techplus were able to offer Paul a training location, use of the advanced equipment and a full days special training with Techplus' trainer, Victor Ronan, at the Ballymount Tyre & Service Superstore, in Dublin.

One of the major sponsors at WorldSkills is Snap-on, whose garage equipment is distributed in Ireland, by Techplus. This sponsorship includes the use of Snap-on Equipment during the competition, including the advanced John Bean V3D Lite four-wheel, full 3D wheel alignment system. Henry Acheson, chief examiner of Automotive Technology, for the National Skills Competition, asked Techplus to assist Paul when they found this out. He said, “Brian O'Neill and Techplus have been strong supporters of the National Skills and WorldSkills for many years, and they were only too delighted to come to our assistance.”

The John Bean Visualiner V3D Lite is the entry-level machine in the John Bean 3D aligner range from Techplus. It offers the latest in full 3D technology at very competitive prices.
